AN elderly woman who was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath after fracturing a leg died two days after an operation to repair it, an inquest was told.
Doreen Deven, 88, was a resident at the Kingston House nursing home in Derry Hill, Calne.
She was taken to the RUH on July 12 and had an operation to repair her broken right femur on July 16. She died on July 18, the inquest in Salisbury was told.
The cause of death was given as multi-organ failure, osteoporotic right femur fracture, frailty of old age and aortic stenosis.
Wiltshire and Swindon assistant coroner Ian Singleton returned a verdict of death by natural causes.
