A YOUNG driver who crashed head-on with a lorry on the A36 at Little Wishford could have been distracted by her mobile phone.
An inquest in Salisbury heard 26-year-old Jade Collins died at the scene of the accident at 2.53pm on July 9.
David Ridley, senior coroner for Wiltshire and Swindon, returned a verdict of death by road traffic collision.
Miss Collins was travelling towards Salisbury when the accident occurred. The cause of death was recorded as multiple traumatic injuries.
Her Fiat Panda crossed the double white lines and collided with a Scania articulated light goods vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr Ridley added: "It is more likely than not that the reason Jade’s car drifted onto the other side of the highway was because she had become distracted by her mobile phone.”
