A SERVING soldier with the Yorkshire Regiment in Warminster who died in a crash near Shrewton in November has been named.
Ifereimi Custine Tui Vasu, 40, from Warminster was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the B390 between Chitterne and Shrewton on Saturday, November 23.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned by the Wiltshire and Swindon assistant coroner Ian Singleton on December 6 in Salisbury.
The inquest was told that Mr Vasu died from multiple injuries in the head-on crash with a van.
He was certified dead at the scene by South Western Ambulance Service paramedics and police.
The inquest was told that Mr Vasu was formally identified by his wife, Miriama Vasu.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision, which blocked the B390 for several hours.
