WILTSHIRE Police staged a drink/drug drive roadshow outside the library in Warminster Market Place last Friday (December 13).
They were joined by other members of the Wiltshire and Swindon Road Safety Partnership, including Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue, Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council.
The roadshow highlighted the dangers of taking drink or drugs when driving and used a crashed car from a fatal road traffic collision as an educational tool.
Passers by were also invited to test the effects of alcohol and drugs on their ability to drive on a drink drive simulator.
A police spokesman said: "The Warminster roadshow is one of a number of activities that Wiltshire Police is using to support the National Police Chiefs’ Council Christmas Drink/Drug Driving Campaign."
This year's campaign launched last week and will run until early January.
