NEWLY elected Devizes MP Danny Kruger has been quick to offer his help to victims of a fire in the town which has left one woman critically hurt and eight others injured.
He said: "So sorry to hear about the fire overnight in Waiblingen Way, Devizes. My thoughts are with everyone affected, and huge thanks to DWFireRescue and all the other authorities for their brilliant work.
"Please do let me know if I can help in any way."
People living in the flats have spoken of their fears as the latest fire follows a number of arson attacks on a bin store in the road in the summer.
Diana Hills contacted the Gazette to say: "Fire brigades and police putting out a fire in Waiblingen way. Another arson fire. Sixth arson from June 2019 to now. "Furniture got set on fire in a corridor and has done a lot of damage, a lot of smoke damage outside on the walls too. One resident has been taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. Residents concerned for the children and their own safety."
