A TASK group has been set up to look into Trowbridge Town Hall Arts to make sure it can be sustainable in the future.
Trowbridge Town Council voted to save the iconic town hall in July by approving a grant of £30,000.
Councillors agreed to set up a task and finish group to look at Town Hall Arts budgets and projections, ways to identify new income streams, produce written reports and find new ways of increasing the community’s usage of the town hall.
At the policy and resources meeting last week, it was agreed that the group will include councillors Graham Payne, Stewart Palmen, Edward Kirk, Steve Oldrieve, Deborah Halik and Amanda Bateman-Gay.
Cllr Payne came up with the proposal to give £7,000 in July, £6,000 in October and the final £7,000 in February 2019.
