CHEERS and applause greeted two friends who decided to brave the shave for Macmillan Cancer Charity on Friday in Trowbridge.
Steve Gullis, from Chippenham, and Graham Sadler, of Bradford on Avon, had their locks shaved off in the car park of Howdens Joinery, Canal Road Industrial Estate, and together they raised £700.
Mr Gullis, who works for Mells Kitchen catering van in the car park, did this because five people he knew had been diagnosed with cancer.
“I was absolutely chuffed to have raised this amount of money,” said Mr Gullis.
“I was quite emotional at the end of it. People were cheering and applauding us, it meant a lot. I want to thank everyone who donated.”
His boss Mel Stevens said: “We are very proud of Steve. There was a big crowd, including customers, to cheer him on.”
