A MELKSHAM man has appeared in court today charged with the murder of Matthew Baggott in Devizes.
Daniel Thomas Decosta, 30, appeared before Chippenham magistrates accused of murdering Mr Baggott, who died after receiving multiple stab wounds following an incident in St John's Street, Devizes on Thursday afternoon.
The court heard how Mr Baggott, 34, recieved eight stab wounds to his stomach, neck and back, with the wound to his stomach proving fatal.
Decosta was remanded in custody to next appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday September 14.
