MORE than a decade of teaching at John of Gaunt in Trowbridge will come to an end for current headteacher Mike Gunston after he decided to leave the school in the summer.
Mr Gunston joined the school as director of PE in 2007 and he lived in the town during that time.
He has, however, decided to take up a new post as headteacher of the Dyson Perrins Academy in Malvern, Worcestershire.
“I am incredibly proud of our school community and it has been a true privilege to serve as headteacher over the last four years,” he said.
“It has not been an easy decision but I feel the time is now right for a new challenge. I feel confident that the school is in a strong position and will continue to thrive in the future.
“It has been a pleasure to get to know so many wonderful families, working together to provide the best education for our young people.”
