NOT every day do charities break world records but Dorothy House Hospice Care has done just that for for the largest gathering of people wearing boas.
On September 10, nearly 700 women, resplendent in frilly tutus, pyjamas, onesies and pink bunny ears, supported the hospice at their Bath Moonlight Walk as part of their 40th anniversary.
And as of this week, the hospice received official verification from Guinness World Records that their first ever record attempt of 675 was successful.
John Davies, Chief Executive at Dorothy House, said: “We are thrilled to receive confirmation of this Guinness World Record for Dorothy House in our 40th year, it means a lot to our staff, volunteers and the 675 ladies who wore the feather boas at the Bath Moonlight Walk.
"Well done to everyone who helped us break the record, it is a great achievement.”
Last year the walk raised more than £120,000 towards supporting people with life limiting illnesses and the hospice hope to raise even more this year.
