Nestle Factory Then and Now.
In the early 1930s business was growing for the Nestle group and plans were formulated to modernise and expand the condenser,
The brand new red brick manufacturing block was erected at the front of the site and completed 1n 1935. Machinery was modernised including the provision of new stainless vacuum pans to replace the old copper variety that was in operation since the start of the factory in 1897.Updated labelling and packing equipment was installed and fiberite cases introduced instead of the old wooden packing cases.
