WEST Wilts Ladies’ 3rd romped to an emphatic 11-0 win when they entertained bottom side Keynsham 3rd.

The visitors brought just eight players with them and despite trying enthusiastically, could not prevent a resurgent West Wilts side running riot.

West Wilts started confidently and bagged two goals in the first five minutes through Sally Ford and Suzi Agate.

Holly Barry and Sally Webb fed excellent balls to the front-line, ensuring plenty more opportunities were made, but resilient keeping from Deb Caldwell in the Keynsham goal prevented them from increasing the score.

The home side also saw several shots hit the post before Melissa Ilic squeezed one into the corner to make the lead 3-0.

West Wilts then had a sequence of short corners but again stubborn defence kept them at bay until Yolanda Kennedy followed up a rebound from a Ford shot to add a fourth.

She then stole another just before half-time to make it 5-0 at the break.

The second half continued in much the same fashion, with Sally Sheppard, Jess Agate and Charlotte Bennett stifling any Keynsham breaks.

The best of the second-half goals came first through a spectacular carry and shot by Suzi Agate.

Some lovely one-touch hockey was on display by West Wilts, with Ford and Nic Ilic particularly dominant, and it was the latter who set up the next goal for Natalie Scott with a lovely reverse stick pass.

A new ball was needed when the first split in two but that did not stop the home side and there was still time for three more goals from mum and daughter combination, Nic and Melissa Ilic.
