WEST Wilts shrugged off the absence of five players to record a 3-1 win over University of Exeter C in the Davis Wood League Championship.
The visitors made a fine start and James Baker slapped home the opening goal before striking again 20 minutes in, although the home side pulled a goal back before half time.
Exeter’s frustration mounted in the second half and they were put out of their misery as Paris Goddard deflected in the third.
West Wilts A romped to a 12-0 success against City of Bath B in East Central One.
The home side scored six goals in each half, Curtis Lank, Rob Heyes, Toby Dorgan twice, Jonny Hackett and Antony Crosby netting in the first period.
Heyes completed his hat-trick in the second period, Dan Tanner and Crosby again scored in the second half, Dorgan taking his personal tally to four.
In East Central Two, West Wilts D claimed a 3-1 success over North Wilts A.
Chris Westcott opened the scoring and Dan Pedigrew added a second before North Wilts replied before half time.
Josh Coward wrapped up the points with the third.
- WEST Wilts Ladies were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the West Clubs League East Division.
The second string were 1-0 winners over City of Bath 3 as Sally Douthwaite netted the only goal.
