A devastating fire at her salon was not enough to stop Corsham beautician Becky Kershaw, who has just reopened at new, bigger premises in the town.

Her business had been based at The Hair Company on the High Street for five years when a fire broke out in December.

She said: “It was just before Christmas so we were fully booked.

“It occurred during the night in the salon, partially damaging the building and leaving everything covered in smoke damage.

“This shut my business down and I could have easily given up.”

Fortunately she was able to locate a new location at the former Indulgence salon on Pickwick Road, which opened for the first time on Monday.

She said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity. We had been so busy and we were looking for somewhere bigger.”

With a team of six in place Body and Soul Health and Beauty is ready to carry on as before, and will officially open tomorrow, when champagne, cakes and free treatments will be on offer.
