Thieves ditched two motorbikes stolen from a Melksham garage last Thursday (27th), but still made off with a pair of rare Kawasaki bikes worth around £8,000.
Four bikes were taken from a detached garage at Forest Road, after suspects jumped a fence and unscrewed security lights, before forcing open a side door.
Police found two of them discarded near the scene, but the two identical trail bikes, each worth around £4,000 were taken.
The bikes are believed to be very rare, with approximately 20 similar models sold in the UK last year.
Anyone with information about the missing bikes can contact Tim Bennett at the Wiltshire Police Crime Management Unit on 101, or anonymously via Crimstoppers on 0800 555111.
