WIiltshire Police Inspector Chris Chammings is reminding residents to ensure they lock up their homes after thieves targeted properties in Staverton.
There were three incidents in the village, on March 26, where houses weren’t locked and offenders got into them.
A wallet, handbag and around £150 were taken from a house in Blackthorn Way while a search was also made in a neighbouring property with nothing being taken.
Thieves also went into an unlocked shed in Bulrush Place but didn’t take anything.
Insp Chammings said: “I’m appealing for residents to remember to lock their docks and stop these kind of offences. In this instance given that properties are close together we are not ruling out that they could be connected.”
Anyone with information can call Wiltshire Police on 101.
