A Melksham cat charity is hoping a national campaign will inspire people in the town to open their homes to a new family member.
The Cats Action Trust North and West Wiltshire is calling on local people to adopt its 30 rescued cats during National Pet Month, which runs until May 5.
Trust volunteer Lilian Wordley said: “Whatever the reason a cat needs to be re-homed we always try to help, but we are limited by the number of pens available to provide a temporary home and the ongoing expenses of foot and veterinary bills.
“We are an independent charity which relies entirely upon local donations, so it’s vitally important that we find loving new owners for the animals as soon as possible.”
