BUuilding work on a £3.6m construction skills centre at Wiltshire College’s Trowbridge campus is ahead of schedule.
The two-storey facility, due to open in September, is replacing two buildings at the campus and will offer an increased range of building, electronics, plumbing and carpentry courses.
Ben Allen, the college’s vice principal for business development, said he is thrilled with the progress that contractor Rydon Construction has made and the opportunities the facility will offer students.
Mr Allen said: “I’m really pleased to see how the work is coming on and excited about the benefits it will provide.”
Owen Taylor, site manager, said: “It is great to hear that a lot of the guys on site actually came to this campus to train 25 years ago or so.”
