Success has been a piece of cake for Trowbridge’s weekly market, which celebrated its one year anniversary on Wednesday.
The Fore Street market, which runs every week from 9am-4pm, is organised by Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Team.
Since it began, the number of people walking through Fore Street every five minutes on market day has risen from 35 to an average of 130. To celebrate the milestone, organisers shared cake with their traders and customers.
The Town Team is looking to encourage young entrepreneurs and will be launching a free programme of business workshops next month.
There will also be a teenage market on May 28 with free stalls on offer. Call 07802 408210 or email trainlabyrinth@aol.com
