I was very offended by Alison Phillips’ article regarding senior cinemagoers.

Each week, I and several friends attend the senior screening at 11am; while waiting for the film to start we look and comment on the forthcoming showings. If the film is a comedy, we laugh, but the moment the film starts you could hear a pin drop. As for popcorn and sweets, it’s not something that appeals to us “oldies”.
