Trowbridge town crier Trevor Heeks raised £400 for two good causes by holding a raffle to mark his 70th birthday.
The event, which took place at Castle Place Shopping Centre, on Friday and Saturday, was in aid Larkrise School and Larkrise Community Farm.
The raffle prize was a hamper of alcoholic drinks and was won by Jacky Newman from Southwick. Mr Heeks held the fundraiser to mark his 70th birthday, which was on Monday.
He said: “It was fabulous and everyone was very kind to us. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, donated a bottle and also to Castle Place.
“I’ve had a good life and I’m really pleased to be able to make a little difference to these good causes.”
Larkrise School serves children with severe disabilities and the farm is a charity that offers placements to young people who live within 30 miles of Trowbridge.
