Rapper Giggs visited Trowbridge to open a new men’s hair studio on Saturday.
The artist, who has released singles including Don’t Go There and Look What the Cat Dragged in, cut the ribbon at #Faded, in Church Street.
The salon is former John of Gaunt pupil Salim Bekkaoui’s new business.
Mr Bekkaoui, 31, will be working with friend Tony Moreno, specialising in Afro, European, Asian and American styles.
The rapper drew a big crowd at the opening with guests enjoying glasses of Champagne.
Mr Bekkaoui, trained at West Thames College and worked in London before deciding to start a business in his hometown, said: “It was a fantastic event and it was great to see so many people turn up.
"Giggs is a friend of a friend and it was pleasure to get him to Trowbridge. He was really pleased to be here and meet his fans.
“We are a little different to your average barbers and we looking to build a brand.
"We’d also welcome people welcome students from schools and colleagues to learn the tricks of the trade.”
The studio also advice to customers about hair care and sells nutrition supplements.
