I wanted to take this opportunity to write and express my thanks to the staff of the NHS. I was unfortunately taken ill a couple of weeks ago and had to be blue-lighted to the A&E department at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. I want to thank the doctor and nurse who I initially saw at Chippenham Hospital and the ambulance crew who took to me to Bath.
The care I received while in the A&E department, surgical admissions unit, ITU and finally Robin Smith ward was second to none. At all stages of my treatment both myself and my family were kept fully informed.
The staff on all of the wards during my 10-day stay were friendly, very reassuring and efficient. The cleanliness of the hospital was 100 per cent and I thoroughly enjoyed the food I was offered. I am now thankfully on the mend.
Mr K C Hulbert, Patchway, Chippenham.
