A Trowbridge man charged with false imprisonment has been remanded in custody by a judge.
James Smith, of Harford Street, is said to have committed the offence on Thursday, February 20 this year.
No charge was formally put to the 27-year-old and he did not enter a plea when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court by video link on Friday.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, May 23 and remanded him in custody until then.
