Excited pupils from primary schools across Warminster jumped at the chance to take part in a gymnastics festival at the new centre Springboard Gymnastics on March 11.
The event, organised by Kingdown School teacher Emily Reynolds, included Key Stage 1 pupils from Warminster Preparatory, St John’s, Sutton Veny, Minster and Hindon primary schools.
Children were able to try out all the facilities at the gymnastics and trampoline centre, rotating between the different equipment with help from six Kingdown School student leaders.
The purpose-built facility, which is based in Woodcock Road Industrial Estate, features new gymnastics equipment and wide variety of classes to suit different ages and abilities.
Janna Panter, who runs Springboard Gymnastics with Suzy Creese, said: “It was a fantastic experience and all the children were very excited about trying out the equipment, especially the beams and the bars.
“They were all well behaved and had a great time. We would love to do it again with other schools in the area as it’s a great way of getting more children doing gymnastics.”
