Two Trowbridge schools were rewarded at the Town Hall for their support of Fairtrade Trowbridge.
During the event on Saturday, Hilperton Primary School gave a presentation on the production of palm oil and Walwayne Court Primary School gave a demonstration about banana farming. The two schools were each given a £100 prize.
Visitors to County Hall could also learn more about Fairtrade Trowbridge’s work.
Wiltshire and Trowbridge Town Councillor Steve Oldrieve, who is part of the town’s Fairtrade group, said: “We were amazed at the quality of the schools and their clear depiction of Fairtrade.”
Fairtrade Fortnight is annual event which takes place internationally, between February 24 and March 9, raising awareness of Fairtrade products.
