Police are appealing for information after a child was attacked by a brown staffie-cross dog on Portman Road, Melksham.
The four-year-old was dragged into the road by his trouser leg by the brown dog at around 12.30pm on March 1, until it was pulled away by its owner, who is described as a white middle-aged man with a beard.
PCSO Christopher Pugh, of the Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The dog was coming from the direction of the river, dragging its owner, who couldn’t control it.
“Thankfully the child wasn’t injured, but we’d still like to speak to the owner.”
Anyone with information can contact the Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
