Leading comedian Lee Evans is to perform a one-off gig in Melksham ahead of a UK-wide arena tour.
The comic is getting set to hit the road for his new Monsters show in August, which will see him tour the UK and Ireland in a massive tour including six straight dates at London’s O2 Arena.
And as he prepares to get under way, he is bringing a preview show called Work In Progress to Melksham’s Assembly Hall on Wednesday April 9.
As a stand-up comic, Lee is one of the very biggest names in British comedy with his latest Roadrunner tour grossing £12.9m in ticket sales.
"We’re thrilled to be able to welcome Lee to Melksham”, said Assembly Hall Operations Manager Lorna Howard.
“This is a fabulous opportunity to see one of the UK’s biggest comedy names here in our town and it illustrates, once again, that we have a venue and audience with a growing reputation for hosting top class comedy.”
Tickets were released at 9am this morning, and sold out within 75 minutes.
