A family-run equestrian store has won a top national award for the third time Wadswick Country Store, near Box, was named SEIB Large Retailer of the Year at the British Equestrian Trade Association Business Awards in Birmingham last month.
The store, opened by Tim and Carolyn Barton in 1987, caters for country pursuits such as dog walking and shooting, as well as riding. It previously won the award in 2010 and 2012.
Mrs Barton said: “We are delighted to have won this award for the third time. We endeavour to provide a personal service to our customers whatever their needs may be and as such are thrilled that this has been specifically recognised by the judges.
“It is testament to the hard work put in by all of our staff.”
All finalists were recommended for the award by their customers and industry peers, with more than 4,000 nominations received from across the country.
