The mayor, Cllr David Halik, and his wife, Cllr Deb Halik, held a charity bag pack at Tesco in County Way, Trowbridge, to raise money for their chosen Mayoral charities this year, Wiltshire Revival, RASAC, and Storehouse Foodbank.
Air Cadets from Trowbridge 2196 Squadron with town council staff, and members of both charities with the Haliks, helped raise a total of £405 on the day.
Cllr Halik said: “Both Deb and myself would like to thank everyone who took part on the day, and especially Tesco for giving us the opportunity to raise not only funds, but also to raise awareness of these vital services provided within our town.
“A special thank you to Cheryl Brown, Tesco’s Community Champion, for her excellent support, and to all the people who so kindly donated .”
