Teenager Ellie Pullen, a former Member of Youth Parliament for West Wiltshire, is calling for young people to reply to First Bus’ fare consultation which could see Wiltshire’s fares cut.
The consultation until March 16, follows one which took place in Bristol last year when cheaper fares came in for young people.
Ellie, 17, said: “During my three years in the UK Youth Parliament transport costs were an issue that came up time and time again.
"Many companies charge adult fares from the age of 16 even though you are not legally adults until 18.”
