A 37-year-old Trowbridge man has been banned from driving for 38 months after he caused a crash which damaged a garden wall while over the drink-drive limit.
Marcin Szlek, of Rutland Crescent, drove his silver BMW into the back of a silver Nissan Micra parked on Seymour Road at 4.50pm on November 18, forcing it through the front wall of a nearby garden.
He tried to flee the scene, but was stopped by police officers and arrested.
He appeared before magistrates in Chippenham on Thursday, where he was fined £385 and ordered to pay a £38 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He was also disqualified from driving for over three years, which will be reduced if he completes a driving skills course.
