Two men accused of robbing a man have admitted stealing from their victim as well as assaulting him.
Samuel Bullough and Oliver Trowbridge pleaded guilty to both offences when they appeared before Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Bullough, 19, and Trowbridge, 20, admitted common assault and stealing an iPhone 4 and Acer laptop from Paul Page on Sunday, July 21.
The pair pleaded not guilty to the more serious charge of robbery and Tessa Hingston, prosecuting, said they would not seek a trial.
She said "There has been correspondence with the Crown and with the victim. Those pleas are acceptable."
Mike Pulsford, for Trowbridge, said "There is a background to this. These two items were taken specifically for a particular reason."
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Friday, January 10 for pre-sentence reports.
He released Trowbridge, of Broadley Park, North Bradley, Trowbridge, and Bullough, of Sandown, Isle of Wight, on bail not to contact the complainant.
