Punk band Subhumans are returning to Wiltshire for a homecoming gig at The White Swan in Trowbridge tomorrow night.
The band, which consists of Dick Lucas, Bruce Treasure, Andy Gale, Trotsky and Grant Jackson, formed in Warminster in 1981 and enjoyed some success with albums including The Day the Country Died, From the Cradle to the Grave and Worlds Apart.
The band split in 1985, had a brief reunion for a couple of shows in about 1991, and a more comprehensive return in 1998, which included concerts in the UK and the States.
The gig at the Church Street pub starts at 8.30pm, and landlady Bee Stacey-Brown said: “I went to Trowbridge College with Bruce and Grant, so the band are old friends.
"They don’t normally play venues of this size, but they started off locally and were very keen to come back.
“For the last four years, we’ve been putting on music events of all genres and we are really looking forward to this gig.”
This will be the third time Subhumans, have played at the Trowbridge pub. Bands supporting tomorrow are Species and Area 53.
Advance tickets cost £5 and admission on the night is £6.
