Protestors concerned about a ‘solar gold rush’ engulfing the village of Seend will hold a public meeting on Thursday to discuss the plans.
The ‘Wake up Wiltshire’ group has been formed to oppose plans for a number of solar farm developments around the village, including a 79-acre site in Poulshot, and 165-acre plot east of Melksham, which would be largest in the county.
The developers behind both bids are expected to attend the meeting, which has been organised by Seend Parish Council.
Anyone may attend and put questions to the planners at the meeting, which takes place at the Irene Usher Memorial Hall at 7.30pm.
