I was privileged to be invited to the opening of the Castle Place complex on November 19. What an excellent venue. On many occasions I have spoken to the residents of Trowbridge and asked them what was top of their wish list for Trowbridge....a cinema was most residents’ reply. It took 30 years and it is now here. Since opening I have heard the Odeon has already had 25,000 customers.

My wife and I have not been to a cinema for 20 years, would rather watch a DVD. How cinemas have changed. We are already talking to our friends about visiting in the future and having a meal as well.

Thank you Legal and General, Wiltshire Council and all those who have helped bring this dream for Trowbridge come true.
