Walwayne Court School in Trowbridge raised £123 for Children in Need, by covering a huge Pudsey Bear drawn on the playground with change, and also had a visit from a Viking. Children in Foxes, Hedgehogs and Kingfishers class have been studying the Vikings this term and were thrilled when they spent the day with Roger Barry, aka Hrothgar. Roger brought Viking artefacts, animal skins, helmets, swords and set up camp in one of the classrooms. He showed the children how to light fires, Viking weaponry, clothing and games used to pass the time and hone battle skills.
