People given advice by South Western Ambulance Service over the phone may be asked to take part in a survey.
The survey is led by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and almost every ambulance trust in England is taking part.
The survey will be done over the phone by an independent research agency and callers will be asked about the quality of care received, information and advice given and overall experience of the ambulance service.
The survey will focus on callers who have been treated or given advice over the phone rather than those who received a visit from the ambulance service. The results will be published on the CQC’s website next year.
Jane Whichello, senior patient experience manager at South Western Ambulance Service, said: “We hope that people will take the time to help us and the Care Quality Commission with this survey.
"Their views are vital in helping us to find out how we are performing and how we can improve. This is an excellent way for service users to help shape the services we provide in the future.”
