A ladies' choir formed five months ago is gearing up for their biggest performance yet, as they sing in the cloisters of Lacock Abbey on Sunday.
The Semingtones were formed last April in Semington by professional singer Lorraine Mahoney, and have grown to include over 40 ladies from the village.
Choir member Ann Barnett said: “We only started in March, and it’s just gone from strength to strength. Nobody thought it would take off like this, but it’s been amazing.
“We’ll be doing one Elizabethan choral piece, but it’ll mostly be carols.”
The ladies will be singing in the cloisters at the National Trust property from 2pm.
They practice every Friday night at 6pm in the Village Hall, and for more information call 07730 254122.
