ADCROFT Surgery in Trowbridge has donated a defibrillator machine to Trowbridge Rugby Club, to help save lives. The defibrillator unit – which delivers an electric shock to the heart of someone having a cardiac arrest – can be used by club members, the public and players, guided by talking instructions.
The club moved from Green Lane to Paxcroft in September and its new building is used by community clubs, as well as hundreds of players.
Dr Stephen Locke, of Adcroft Surgery, said: “The club is another good facility in the town and it is nice to see the sport promoted in the area.
“It is wonderful to sponsor medical equipment for them through a defibrillator. It is good to support a local club and give them a piece of kit that will help them.”
