Science Week at Shaw Primary School ended with a big bang on Friday, as chemist Tim Harrison gave the pupils a hands-on demonstration.
The schoolchildren were joined by classes from Broughton Gifford and Lacock Primary Schools for the display, which marked the end of a week-long focus on science.
Headteacher Simon White said: “Tim came down from Bristol University and did ‘wow science’ experiments.
“Science Week came about because our deputy head, Carol Sampey, is a specialist primary science teacher. We can’t wait to do it again next year.”
