Now the secret is out, the masterplan for Trowbridge can be seen in a display at County Hall. And, do you know what? The plan is pretty good.

I don’t understand why there has been so little publicity about it. The masterplan recognises the potential of Trowbridge with its host of listed buildings, the Biss and the town’s heritage and offers the opportunity of building on it to create a town of which we can be justly proud. It even offers an improvement for the Peter Black site.

I would recommend your Trowbridge readers to visit the display, as it is much better to look at the displayed drawings and associated text than try to manipulate them on the Wiltshire Council website.

They may find some things to criticise but I would hope that they might demonstrate their overall support. The plan is ambitious and thus expensive. But, if the Trowbridge public can put their support behind it, there is a much better chance of it being implemented.
