May I, through your letters page, convey my sincere thanks to the people of Trowbridge for their prayers, good wishes and for all the cards received during my recent illness. I, along with my wife Julie, am deeply grateful. Cards have come from such unexpected places all over the town. They have proved to be a real tonic.
It was a great privilege for me to serve as rector of Trowbridge from 1988 to 2009. I am glad that I am able to consider the people of this marvellous community as my friends.
I have more treatments to undergo but the outlook is very positive and hopeful. Julie and I would value your continued prayers over the next couple of months.
With every blessing, Canon Christopher Brown, Trowbridge.
