When West Wilts Cubs got together for the District Scrap Heap Challenge, there was a great cheer when the topic of ‘Transport’ was announced. The event, on November 16, was held at Southwick & North Bradley Scout HQ and the winners were Melksham Slindon Cubs who built a very impressive moveable tank.
Six Packs from the District took part and there were some wonderful creations including trains, planes and space ships.
The winning team will compete in the County Scrap Heap Challenge at Potterne on February 22, 2014. The Leaders built a steam roller driven by Santa.
The event was organised by ADC Cub Scouts Chris Broom and assisted by many Leaders from the District.
