Trowbridge Area Board handed out £24,021 in grants to community projects during last Thursday’s meeting.
When they met at County Hall, councillors decided to give £11,360 to The Town Hall Trust to install a fitted kitchen and buy equipment.
They also gave £6,500 to tarmac a footpath, in Boundary Walk, near Trowbridge Town Football Club and £3,000 to fund safety matting at Newtown Primary School’s swimming pool.
The councillors approved the allocation of £1,890 to aid a proposed skatepark project in Paxcroft Mead.
While, they approved giving BA14 Culture £788 which will go towards a youth production expected to take place in April, 2014, as well as giving £483 to the Monday Wednesday Club to purchase woodwork materials.
The organisation, which has been going 27 years, meets each week to support people with physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
