Volunteer Centre Wiltshire will be holding drop in sessions at Warminster Library on November 25 from 10am-12noon for anyone interested in finding out about opportunities in the area.
Part of local charity Develop, Volunteer Centre Wiltshire currently has over 1,500 volunteering opportunities waiting to be filled across Wiltshire, with lots of things to get involved with.
Opportunities include registering a dog or cat with Pets as Therapy and taking them into residential homes, hospitals, day centres or supporting a young carer’s group with Spurgeons.
Anyone who is unable to make a regular commitment can join the bank of ‘one-off’ volunteers and just help out at events when they are free.
Volunteering not only helps the organisation, but it gives people the chance to do meaningful work that enhances the community and makes them feel useful.
For more information on how to get involved, contact Volunteer Centre Wiltshire’s dedicated volunteering support line “Call-IT!” now on 0845 5216224 or visit www.volunteercentrewiltshire.org.uk
