Former Westbury serviceman Richard Taylor is on target to achieve his goal of raising £5,000 for three charities, after completing an endurance challenge on Remembrance Day.
Mr Taylor cycled 305 miles on a static bike in the showroom at Platinum Vauxhall in Trowbridge, where he works as a sales executive, to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice, Help For Heroes and The Royal Artillery Association.
The 43-year-old, who was a sergeant major in the 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, started after the two-minute silence on Monday and finished at 5pm on Tuesday.
The distance is the equivalent of riding from Ellesmere Port, where Vauxhalls are made, to his dealership, via Vauxhall’s HQ in Luton.
