Trowbridge’s John of Gaunt School is planning to raise funds to support the relief effort in the Philippines after last week’s typhoon.
Teacher Darwin Guerrero and Year 13 students Georgia Clarke and Denise Antonia, both 17, all have family in the country.
Thankfully, their families were not affected by the devastating weather but they still want to do their bit to help those whose lives have been changed massively.
Mr Guerrero has made contact with the British Red Cross and the school plan to hold a cake sale, raffle and a collection of essential goods which will be given to the charity organisation.
Mr Guerrero said: “It is such a devastating thing which is going on over there and we are doing all we can to offer some support.”
