A memorial service for Wiltshire Council member Linda Conley will take place at Bradford on Avon’s Holy Trinity Church at 2pm on November 22.
Cllr Conley, 65, who lived in Fairwood Road, Dilton Marsh, died on October 13, after a battle with cancer.
The council’s meeting at County Hall, Trowbridge, on Tuesday, held a two minute silence in her memory.
Wiltshire Council leader Jane Scott said: “Linda was a very special lady. She was wonderful company and had so much humour.
“What you saw with Linda was what you got. She was too young to die and I will miss her.”
Of the portfolio holder for waste, she added: “Linda’s clear desire to make a difference to Wiltshire was apparent.”
Cllr Conley was married to Captain Dan Conley, 67, and had a daughter, Faith, 30.
She had represented the people of Dilton Marsh, Westbury, Winsley, Westwood, Limpley Stoke, Wingfield and Ethandune.
