Scouts in Bradford on Avon will spread festive cheer by organising a Christmas post service for the BA15 postcode.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from 1st Bradford on Avon Scout Group, along with their leaders and parents, will sell specially designed stamps, collect the Christmas post and safely hand deliver all the cards.
Each boy will start off with a book of 10 stamps, which will cost £2, and they can sell them to friends, relatives and neighbours.
The stamp books will also be available alongside 15 Scout post boxes at Sainsbury’s, Budgens, Bradford and Winsley Co-op, Tillions, the health centre, Station Place chip shop, Murco and Texaco petrol stations, the railway station, library, town hall, swimming pool, Westwood Village Stores and the New Inn.
This year’s stamp was designed by seven-year-old Beaver Charlie Staddon, and the Scout group will start sorting the post from December 16 and given an area to deliver to.
